Short chain chlorinated paraffins?SCCPs?are a kind of complex mixtures that include1013 carbon atoms.Because of the characteristics of Persistent Organic Pollutants?POPs?,such as persistence, bioaccumulation, long distance migration and toxicity, short chain chlorinated paraffins have attracted wide attention from scholars both at home and abroad, and a large number of scientific studies have been carried out on them.In May 2017,at the Eighth Conference of States parties to the Stockholm convention,SCCPs were included in the list of controlled POPs of annex A of the Stockholm Convention. At the moment, there is less data on the detection of SCCPs contamination in food and atmosphere. In order to understand the pollution status of SCCPs in food and atmosphere, food and atmosphere samples were collected from the citiy of Shijiazhuang in 20152016.Samples were determined in terms of concentration and distribution characteristics of SCCPs and its homologues by on-line Gel Permeation Chromatography-Gas Chromatography-Negative Chemical Ion source-Mass Spectrometry?GPC-GC-NCI-MS?.And then a preliminary study on human food and atmospheric exposure were carried out.The results indicated that the concentrations of SCCPs in food samples were in the range of 2.30496.49ng·g-1?wet weight?.In addition, lower chlorinated Cl6-Cl7 and shorter chain C10-/C12-SCCPs homologue distribution were the dominant part. The concentrations of SCCPs in atmospheric samples were in the range of 6.6512.48 ng·m-33 in daytime and 2.886.91 ng·m-33 in atmospheric samples at night. The distribution of SCCPs homologues in atmospheric samples is dominated by C11-/C12-SCCPs of Cl7.The food exposure risk in the population of Shijiazhuang is between 1.12%and 3.81%,and the risk of atmospheric exposure is between0.000480%and 0.00208%.Food and atmospheric exposure risk are less than 100%,indicating that food and atmospheric exposure risk are acceptable, but the potential risks should be noted.Determination of SCCPs content in food and atmosphere and analysis of its distribution pattern,so as to preliminarily evaluate food and atmospheric exposure, which provides an important data basis for understanding the pollution status of SCCPs in food in China and its effect on human health.
