This paper have been systematically investigated in the quartz and the limonite, analyzes the mechanism of action between the elixir and the mineral, considered the harmful factors of the flotation in presence such as minerals mire of violarite flotability influence and unavoidably cationic of.Expounds the present distribution of resources of the limonite at home and abroad、the current research status and progress of the anionic and cation of collector of the limonite ion.The study of dodecyl series collector count amine,tertiary amine,quaternary ammonium salt and ether amine kind of cationic efficient reverse flotation to take off the silicon with collector, and have been systematically investigated their influence factors, also to different combined collector of the different combination to use the research, from the research result is analyzed, and choosed a group collector which has the best selection effects, and applied to the actual ore.Single mineral flotation tests found that in the pH rage of7~8, use the modified starch to depress the limonite, the combined collector (1231:the twelve silane oxygen propyl ether amine=3:1) was used to reverse flotation experiment, discover that the best flotation is in this time, and the combined collector in conditions under the condition of invariable artificial mixture of ore flotation to take off the silicon test, The limonite iron is with59.11%grade, quartz content dropped substantially, from the original15%to1.31%, the iron recovery reach81.11%.The actual ore flotation separation test results show that, the sodium carbonate use to be pH adjustment agent, modified starch to be limonite inhibitors, the combined collector were adopted to make the reverse flotation test on the high silicon strong magetic separation concentrate with grade of49.31%and including SiO220.53%, after a stage grinding、one thick flotation and one fine flotation, the concentrate grade of iron is59.12%, and its recovery is about71.19%and, explain that the combined collector can successfully to the required index requirements.The research of the mechanism between the elixir and the mineral surface shows that: in the pH rage of3~10, the combined collector exist of root amine cation, amine root ions which in the adsorption of mineral surface was mainly by the static adsorption effect, because the mineral surface potential rise into negative when the pH value rise; However, when the pH>12after the collector formed into precipitation or undissolved liquid, the root amine solution concentration of cationic so few of the static adsorption effect also about to smaller, combination of collector of quartz recovery effect as pH value rise dramatically worse, this and single mineral flotation test results tally. In pure water, the PZC of the quartz is pH=2.0, the PZC of the limonite is pH=8.0, the combined collector make the Zeta-potential of the quartz and the surface of the limonite to move in the direction of the increasing, and compared the quartz with limonite,the Zeta-potential of the quartz growth more, the absortion of the combined collector in quartz surface grow more. Because of the different absortion capcity of collector on quartz and limonite,it helps a lot to septrate these two mineral by reverse flatation.
