Cylindrical rollers play a role of bearing and transferring loading in a rolling bearing.They are the weakest parts among the 4 main parts of bearing.The cylindrical surface is a main working surface of a cylindrical roller.Its machining quality makes an important impact on the working performance and life of a bearing.Since the traditional machining method of cylindrical rollers can hardly provide a high machining accuracy and a high machining efficiency simultaneously,in this study,a circulatory system of a lapping process with double-discs and straight grooves for cylindrical surfaces of cylindrical rollers was designed.The requirement for carrying through the double-disc straight groove lapping process for roller cylindrical surface is achieving cycle machining.The circulatory system should have the functionalities,such as mixing and sorting,automatic feeding,washing and drying,by analyzing the peculiarity of this processing technology.An analytic model which describes the relationship between the loading speed and resistance of the automatic loading mechanism and the machining parameters was established.Using module design method can effectively shorten the development cycle of circulatory system,and improve the flexibility of the reform and maintenance for equipment.The modular design of the system was conducted on the basis of the overall circulatory blue print of the lapping system.On the basis of the evaluation about the roller abrasion caused by the vibration loading mode,a mixing and sequencing mechanism with a roller storage bin and a vibration plate was designed.After comprehensively evaluating many automatic loading methods,a continuous loading mechanism with abrasive conveyors and an intermittent loading mechanism with a dial wheel were designed.On the basis of the features of cylindrical roller circulatory machining,a continuous through-type online spray cleaning mechanism was designed.For different loading method,the overall layout of the circulatory system was designed correspondingly.Properly design for control system can improve the manufacturing efficiency,and guarantee the processing quality of roller.On the basis of the cylindrical roller circulatory machining process flow and control requirements,the control system of the automatic loading module was designed.The control process of the loading control system was analyzed,and the controller choice and the I/O ports allocation were completed.The electric control and pneumatic system wiring diagrams of control system were designed.The control program was written,and the human computer interaction interface was developed.Constructing an demo machine can prove the design rationality and manufacturing feasibility of the circulatory system,and resolve the key technical problems up front.The demo machine of automatic feeding devices was established by reference to the designed plan.By testing working performance of the automatic feeding mechanism,the feasibility of device was proved,and the regulation law of technical parameters was got.The circulatory lapping process with double-discs and straight V-grooves for cylindrical surfaces of cylindrical rollers not only can improve the cylindrical roller machining accuracy,but also possess the ability to realize a continuous mass production.The design and realization of the lapping circulatory system applied this theoretical method to practice,which has profound meaning to the technological revolution and development of the roller manufacturing industry.
