Bamboo Vinegar As Forestry Herbicide And Household Waste Disinfectant

Bamboo vinegar?BV?is a by-product of the bamboo charcoal,this work were examined and evaluated the herbicidal and sterilization activity of BV.In this work,a few test methods involve in petri dish test at illumination incubator,greenhouse tests and field experiments were used as discovering herbicidal activity of BV.In addition,herbicide controlling spectrum and animal safety were further demonstrated.The work may provide understand for commercial development and safe,scientific application of BV.The results showed that BV have superior herbicidal activity and animal safety,those detailed description are as follows:1.Petri dish tests showed that BV has a high herbicidal activity on weeds,and the effective and active component is organic acid.The herbicidal activity of BV is directly proportional to its organic acid concentration.Comparing the herbicidal activity of various dilution ratios,the order from high to low was:7.2%BV>3.6%BV>2.4%BV>1.44%BV>0.8%BV.2.Field test showed that the corrected mortality for treated with 7.2%BV,3.6%BV and 2.4%BV were over 90%,80%and 70%three days after spraying respectively,which wassignificantly different with the control.The corrected mortality for treated with 1.44%BV and 0.8%BV were below 60%and 30%respectively.The comprehensive control of BV is superior to the control.3.Germicidal treats showed that BV has strong fungicidal,antiviral activity to bacteria,viruses and parasites.The antibacterial activity of BV is directly proportional to organic acid concentration.The bactericide rate of 7.2%BV and 3.6%BV were over 50%.4.Animal safety tests showed that the oral LD₅₀0 of BV to male and female rat were higher than5000mg.kg^-1,belong to non-toxic.Bone marrow micronucleus test were proved negative.The solution showed no irritation on intact skins of rabbits,this solution belongs to actually nontoxic compounds.
