With the advancement of “intelligent manufacturing”,it has been put forward that the company should strengthen the management for the monitoring of body equipment and maintenance in rare metal industry.Meanwhile,vacuum consumable arc furnace is the key equipment in the processing of titanium and titanium alloy,so the process parameters in the smelting process directly affect the production product quality and equipment safety.Therefore,in order to improve the productive efficiency and equipment operation safety,the development of remote monitoring system is of great significance for vacuum consumable smelting of titanium and titanium alloys.The paper takes it as the research object that based on the vacuum consumable melting production of a titanium and titanium alloy processing enterprise,analyzing its production process,important parameters,and hidden safety hazards,determining the requirements of the smelting production remote monitoring system.and building an remote monitoring system for the melting production based on the three-layer architecture of IOT(Internet of Things),which conducts the system from data acquisition layer consisted of Sensors,smart meters,and PLC,network transmission layer consisted of Ethernet and fiber ring,and monitoring management layer consisted of industrial computers,servers etc.To develop the monitoring system application software,the paper adopts to Force Control,data acquisition interface drivers and SQL Server 2008 database based on mixed-mode architecture.Besides,to achieve its functions and the remote monitoring of two vacuum consumable arc furnaces in the casting shop,applying fuzzy neural network builds a smelting security early warning model and using OPC technology achieves data interaction between MATLAB and ForceControl configuration software.Practical operation result shows that the remote monitoring system realizes the remote monitoring and smelting safety early-warning of the operating parameters of the two vacuum consumable EAFs in the smelting workshop and improve the operational safety of vacuum consumable smelting production equipment.Therefore,the research has certain application value in the processing of titanium and titanium alloy profiles.
