The natural gas resources in the Ordos Basin are very rich, with a resource volume of10.7×1012 m3,of which tight gas resources account for about 61.7%of the total resources, and are mainly distributed in the Sulige Gas Field with an area of 5×104 km2.The Sulige gas field is a large-scale gas field with complex geological conditions. The reservoir is characterized by low porosity, low permeability, low abundance and serious heterogeneity. The superposition model of the effective sand body is complex, and the connectivity is poor.Gas reservoir development is difficult. The G04-12 well area is an Upper-Paleozoic gas reservoir in Sulige.Due to the complex geological conditions in the research area, the development of wells in the area has caused certain difficulties. At present, the knowledge of gas reservoirs in the well area is relatively shallow and cannot meet the needs of development. Therefore,it is imperative to conduct detailed description of gas reservoirs, analyze and develop the influencing factors, and further deepen geological understanding through the establishment of fine three-dimensional geological models for the research area, which will provide a solid foundation for the deployment of the next well site. The paper fully applies geology,well-logging,logging,cores,well testing, and production dynamic data.It uses sedimentology, reservoir geology, and well logging geology as guidelines, and on the basis of fine stratigraphic division and comparison, the structural characteristics, sedimentary microfacies, sand body structure, sand body distribution, lithology, and physical properties have been studied in depth, and geological modeling of the G04-12well area has been performed using 3D geological modeling techniques, optimization of modeling methods, establishment of lithofacies models and property models, and comprehensive analysis of porosity, permeability, saturation models in plane and profile. At the end of the thesis, the geological model was tested by the static test of the sand body model and the gas reservoir numerical simulation was completed. The model built in this paper has high accuracy and reliability. At the same time, this paper provides a reliable basis for the subsequent development of the study area.
