Liquid crystal emulsion is a new skin care product with excellent performance.However,there are still many problems in liquid crystal emulsions,such as low liquid crystal formation rate and incomplete structure.The texture of liquid crystal cannot stay in the vicinity of skin temperature for a long time.To solve these problems,this paper first developed a compound liquid crystal emulsifier based on hydrogenated lecithin as the main emulsifier.The composition of the emulsifier is similar to that of human skin.It is nontoxic,non irritating and safe.The lamellar liquid crystals formed are complete in shape,uniform in size and large in density.At the same time,the emulsifier has high universality and good compatibility with all kinds of oils and additives commonly used in skin care formulations.In addition,the preparation process of the emulsion system has been systematically explored and optimized.The results show that direct emulsification method is suitable for this system.Homogenization speed,homogeneous time,emulsifying temperature and cooling speed all have obvious effects on the liquid crystalline properties of emulsion.The viscosity and droplet size of emulsion can be adjusted according to needs.Therefore,the emulsifier can be used to prepare various cream,cream,emulsion and so on.It has potential application prospect in the field of cosmetics.Finally,a liquid emulsion was prepared by the better formula and technology obtained in the experiment.The properties of the emulsion are systematically studied.The results show that the emulsion has good stability on the skin.The whole liquid crystal structure can be maintained for 6 hours on the surface of the skin.It overcomes the problem that liquid crystal texture cannot stay on the skin for a long time in general liquid crystal emulsion.It can provide conditions for other performances of liquid crystal emulsion.Compared with the traditional emulsion,the liquid crystal emulsion showed excellent water locking and slow release properties.There are still fifty percent of the total water contents after 7 hours.The study of temperature resistance shows that the liquid crystal emulsion has high temperature resistance and low temperature freeze-thaw performance.And the effect of high temperature on the lamellar liquid crystal in emulsion is recoverable.The results also showed that the liquid crystals in the emulsion had excellent salt resistance,acid and alkaline resistance and dilution resistance.Rheological experiments show that the emulsion has significant shear thinning properties and viscoelasticity.Therefore,it is easy to spread on the skin surface and shows a good skin feel.In addition,rheological properties and stability tests also confirm that the liquid crystal emulsion has excellent storage and transportation stability.It is convenient for practical application and storage and transportation.At the same time,the multilayer structure of lamellar liquid gives it the ability to dissolve various components,so as to increase product efficiency.It can make the liquid crystal emulsion have wide application prospects in moisturizing,whitening,sunscreen,anti allergy,anti aging and spot removing.
