Based on a whole field photomechanics experimental measurements and Digital Image Speckle Correlation Algorithm, the mechanical property of aluminum single-lap joints bonding interface is evaluated and analyzed in present research.Experimental data are used to compared with Finite Element Method(FEM)solution and Zhao Bo and Lu Zhenhua's theoretical model. The main work is as follows:(1)By using Digital Image Correlation(DIC)method, the whole continuous deformation field of the specimen is measured. The pure shear of interfacial layer is achieved by a uniaxial tension loading applied at both ends of the specimen. The mechanical responsibility of the layer is analyzed based on the experimental data.(2)Modeling the single-lap specimen with finite element numerical simulation analysis. The mechanical responsibility under different loadings is discussed.(3)Experimental curves and numerical simulation are compared with Zhao Bo and Lu Zhenhua's elastic bonding interface theoretical model.(4)Based on the experimental data, comparing the Hart-Smith's ideal elastoplastic theory with Zhao Bo and Lu Zhenhua's linear elastic theory.(5)The influence of different loading rates, different lengths and different lap adherend thicknesses are discussed.
