Study Of Chengdu City’s Sustainable Developmentbased On Ecological Footprint Theroy | | Posted on:2019-01-30 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:P F Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2321330566462838 | Subject:Biochemistry and Molecular Biology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | In recent years,the ecological footprint model has become an important means for quantitatively studying regional sustainable development,and has been widely used in regional ecological sustainable development and ecological protection.The sustainability of Chengdu city’s development was studied through ecological footprint theory and sustainable development evaluation model in this paper.The relation between ecological footprint value per capita and its main influencing factors was also analyzed,and the developing trend of ecological footprint in the future was predicted by the model established on the base of the changing characteristics of this relation.Combined with the theories of municipal sustainable development,the intrinsic relations among ecological,economical,and social aspects of sustainability of Chengdu City’s development were further studied,and the countermeasures were discussed.The results showed as follow:(1)Through the analysis of Chengdu’s 2008-2015 ecological footprint:In 2015,an ecological deficit occurred in Chengdu,and the ecological deficit reached 0.6170 hm~2/person,indicating that Chengdu is currently in an unsustainable development status;From 2008 to2015,the average per capita ecological footprint showed a downward trend,with an annual average reduction rate of 3.64%.Among them,cultivated land,fossil energy land,and pastureland accounted for the highest proportion,becoming the main contributor to the ecological footprint.The per capita ecological carrying capacity showed a trend of decreasing year by year,with an annual average reduction rate of 2.29%,of which cultivated land and construction land have become major contributors to ecological carrying capacity.Through the analysis of Chengdu’s 2008-2015 ecological profit and loss:Chengdu currently maintains a balance between ecological supply and demand by consuming large amounts of urban natural resource stocks and absorbing large amounts of resources from urban areas,indicating that Chengdu has been in an unsustainable state of development for eight years.(2)Through the classification structure of the ecological footprint of Chengdu:the largest per capita ecological footprint of Chengdu in the past eight years has been cultivated land.The change in the per capita ecological footprint had a certain correlation with changes in the ecological footprint of cultivated land,and the trend of the two remained basically the same.According to the classification structure of per capita ecological carrying capacity in Chengdu,the only place where the ecological surplus was generated was the type of biological productive land.The state of the economy reflected the rapid expansion of urbanization in Chengdu in recent years.It also showed that in recent years the arable land was facing tremendous pressure.(3)The impact factors of sustainable development in Chengdu from 2008 to 2015 shows:the downward trend of the ecological footprint of ten thousand yuan GDP showed that Chengdu’s industrial structure has been continuously optimized,economic development pattern changed,science and technology continuously updated and resource utilization efficiency continuously improved,which contributed to the reduction of unnecessary resource consumption in production and life.At the same time,the continuous reduction of the yuan’s GDP in terms of ecological footprint also reflected the continuous increase in the total national economy of Chengdu and the steady increase in the efficiency of resource utilization.Through the analysis of the ecological footprint diversity index,it shows that the development status of Chengdu in recent years is in an unreasonable state,but it can be seen from the change trend that with the continuous growth of the ecological footprint diversity index,Chengdu’s current overall consumption.The structure continues to be optimized.(4)According to the current situation of the use of resources in Chengdu,this paper puts forward suggestion for sustainable urban development in Chengdu:without reducing the quality of life in the current region,Chengdu should achieve its sustainable development by reducing ecological footprint,increasing ecological supply,developing technology-intensive industries,changing the concept of consumers and strengthening the construction of urban ecological environment. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Per capita ecological footprint, Per capita ecological carrying capacity, Sustainable developmen, Chengdu city | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
