Since fluorozirconate glass has low phonon energy,and ease of processing,fluorozirconate glass is widely studied and used for the mid-infrared materials.So,it is a acceptable choice for the infrared application,and has attracted the attention of researchers and companies in the fields of solid gain lasers,fiber gain media and other fields.In this paper,we investigated Er3+doped fluorozirconate glass?ZrF4-Ba F2-LaF3-AlF3-Na F?and AlF3 based glasses.By using melt-quenching method,the glasses were present.XRD,DSC,DTA,absorption spectra,luminescence spectroscopy and Raman spectra were investigated.The relationship between the introduction of ions and luminescence properties of glasses was studied by J-O theory and Debye theory.A series of fluoro-bromozirconate glasses were prepared by melt-quenching method.The Br-incorporation significantly enhanced the luminescence intensity of 2.7?m in fluoro-bromozirconate glass.The coefficient of OH-groups that have a significant effect on the luminescence at 2.7?m was very small(0.74×10177 cm-3).Combined with the J-O parameters,it is shown that the incorporation of Br-increases the covalent bond around Er3+and reduces the local symmetry.The mid infrared luminescent intensity was enhanced by the decreasing of the phonon density.In the Er3+ion doped fluoro-zinc glasses,the characteristic mid-infrared luminescence spectra of Er3+ions in fluoro-zinc glass were investiged.The results show that with the introduction of Zn2+ions,the size and crystallinity change with the content of Zn2+ions,which affects the mid-infrared emission intensity.It was found that when the content of Zn2+ion reaches 2%mol%,the light emission is the highest.By J-O theory,it shows that,with the introduction of Zn2+,the covalency enhanced and the symmetry has declined.It is found that the fluorescence branch ratio???and lifetime???increased with the addition of Zn2+.A series of erbium doped fluorochloride glasses modified by different content of Cl-were prepared by using melt-quenching method.The mid-infrared fluorescence intensity?2.7?m?has been enhanced by increasing content of Cl-.The X-ray diffraction?XRD?,FTIR,Raman,and PL spectra were investigated.Based on Debye theory,the change of phonon density shows that the structural variety caused by increasing the content of Cl-can enhance mid infrared luminescent intensity.By the Judd-Ofelt theory and absorption curves,it shows that parameter?2 improved with the introduction of Cl-,showed higher asymmetry and covalency.Emission cross-section(1.04×10-20 cm2)and absorption cross-section(9.68×10-21 cm2)at 2.7?m were measured.
