With the development of social economy and the need of modernization, the demand for mainly energy like the petroleum is growing fast.Because of crude oil distribution and demand imbalance,as well as the cheapness of the maritime transport industry,a large amount of petroleum is transported by sea.At the same time, the progress of science and technology provides technical support and guarantee for the exploitation of large-scale offshore oil, which greatly increases the risk of oil spill. The occurrence of oil spill accident will bring marine environment devastating damage. Therefore, timely, rapid and accurate determination of oil sources is of great practical significance for scientific assessment, identification of responsible parties and protection of Marine ecological environment in oil spill accidents. There are many types of petroleum, crude oil and refined products(gasoline, diesel oil, condensate oil, engine oil, lubricating oil, gear oil, fuel oil)were selected as the research objects this paper.Fingerprint difference of sample(alkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, terpane and sterane)was studied, and screening and obtain the can identify the new diagnostic ratio of original sample, and the diagnostic ratio of weathering resistance stability verification, and in the event of an actual oil spill to carry out its applicability evaluation.By using gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC-MS)technology,a qualitative and quantitative analysis of alkanes, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, terpenes and sterane compounds was carried out by using the combination of retention time and characteristic ions and the internal standard method in twenty oil samples. The results of fingerprint difference study show that: the concentrations of n-alkanes,isoprene,polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, terpenes, sterane, and triaromatic sterane were significantly different in different oil species. But the fingerprint information is similar between different types of oil or different types of oil.According to the distribution characteristics of single compound and the mass concentration, the oil species cannot be distinguished.Different oil species are identified by means of combination of various compounds and original fingerprint.A total of 60 diagnostic ratios(29 diagnostic ratios in the specification of oil spill identification system and 31 new diagnostic ratios)were used to identify 20 oil samples, and 17 were screened to identify the diagnostic ratios of these oils.Through weathering stability verification, there are 13 diagnostic ratios with good stability. There are seven recommended diagnostic ratios in the specification of oil spill identification systerm and six new diagnostic rations, respectively NC17/(NC17+Pr)*100,NC18/(NC18+Ph)*100,Pr/(Pr+Ph)*100,C3-P/(C3-P+C3-D)*100,C23 terpene/(C23 terpene+C24 terpene)*100,C27 steroid alpha beta beta/(alpha beta beta+alpha alpha alpha)*100,oleanane/(oleanane+hopane)*100,4MD/(4MD+3MD)*100,4MD/(4MD+1MD)*100,3MD/(3MD+1MD)*100,C21TA/(C21TA+RC28TA)*100,SC26TA/(SC26TA+SC28TA)*100,RC27TA/(RC27TA+RC28TA)*100.Screening for 13 kinds of diagnosis ratio in the simulation applications of oil spill, can better spill sample and sources sample to identify. It can be a new moderately weathered oil spill identification index. The newly established diagnosis ratio index can be used as a classic of oil spill identification of effective supplement.
