Dimethyl adipate is not only a kind of important fine chemicals,but also the important intermediates for hydrogenation producing 1,6-hexanediol.With the wide application of 1,6-hexanediol,the demand of dimethyl adipate increasing steadily.The post-treatment of current industrial process of dimethyl adipate is complex,and also have many problems,such as the low reaction conversion and high energy consumption.However,reactive distillation technology can solve these problems.Therefore,the research of the application of reactive distillation technology in the synthesis of dimethyl adipate has great research value.In view of the particularity of dimethyl adipate system,this paper applies different reactive distillation column configurations of the system as the foundation,according to their respective characteristics,four different processes for synthesis of dimethyl adipate have been researched.In this paper,process simulation software Aspen Plus has been used for steady state simulation of the process,the fresh feed low rates and conditions are the same,as also the production's.On the premise of the design specification,the process parameters such as recycle feed ratio of each process have been decided through univariate analysis,and the towers' configuration parameters have been analyzed and optimized.This paper mainly compares four processes which are two kinds of traditional reactive distillation,external recycle reactive distillation and new reactive distillation process.With annual total cost as the goal,configuration parameters in each process have been analyzed and optimized,the optimal values of each parameter have been determined.Results show that,compared the two traditional reactive distillation process,the configuration that reactive zone set at the bottom of the reactive distillation column is more suitable for the synthesis of dimethyl adipate.The external recycle reactive distillation is superior to the traditional one.Also,in terms of economy,the new reactive distillation process has more advantages than the external recycle reactive distillation process.
