The Numerization Transformation Rebuilding Of General-purpose Milling Machine

In today’s era of information society,all kinds of work in the world are moving in the direction of digitization,informationization and automation,as is the direction of machining.Moreover,with the development of social information,people are increasingly demanding the processing of small quantities of various complicated shaped parts.However,there are still a considerable number of enterprises in our country which have a large number of ordinary milling machines.They can not only process simple single parts,but also have low machining accuracy and greatly reduce the economic benefits due to their high labor intensity.Therefore,Transformation is imminent.The author in the laboratory made a comprehensive transformation on a Japanese company’s general milling machine.the specific transformation includes the following two aspects.On the one hand,the computer numerical control(CNC)system of the ordinary machine tool is modified to adapt to various production requirements.On the other hand,the electrical circuit of the ordinary machine tool is modified,including the redesign of the control module,servo module,lighting and signal module of the milling machine as well as the electrical connections between the modules.Finally,according to the requirements of enterprises and production direction of the milling system parameters of the major set,the final completion of the transformation of the milling machine.And after the transformation,some experiments were carried out to debug and test.The machining precision of the milling machine was greatly improved,and the machining of various complicated shape parts can be completed,reaching the standard of the current numerical control milling machine.The author hopes that through the practical experience of this transformation,it will lay the foundation for other various forms of machine tool renovation in the future and gain experience.
