Analysis On The Environmental Pollution Impact Of Environmental Regulation

In recent years,the problem of environmental pollution has become increasingly prominent in China,and various pollution incidents have frequently occurred,which has affected the sustainable development of China's economy and society.Therefore,people begin to pay more and more attention to environmental problems,and the government has introduced a series of environmental regulation measures.In the case of increasing environmental regulation,the academic circle has also begun to increase the concern about how environmental regulation affects environmental pollution.There is no consistent research conclusion on how environmental regulation can reduce the degree and mechanism of environmental pollution.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces and autonomous regions(excluding Tibet)in 2001-2016 years,this paper studies the impact of environmental regulation on environmental pollution.First of all,the paper reviews the research conclusions on the relationship between environmental regulation and environmental pollution at home and abroad.Then,using the linear proportion method,the intensity of environmental pollution and the intensity of environmental regulation are calculated,and the trend of environmental pollution intensity and environmental regulation intensity change with time is analyzed.Then,using the threshold panel model,the effect of environmental regulation on environmental pollution is studied with the environmental regulation intensity as a threshold variable,and the threshold effect of environmental regulation intensity on environmental pollution is verified.The study shows that there is a nonlinear relationship between environmental regulation intensity and environmental pollution.Finally,based on the empirical analysis,we draw the conclusions and put forward relevant suggestions.The conclusion of this paper is: the environmental pollution index of three provinces and autonomous regions in China has fluctuated downward in 2001-2016.The relationship between environmental pollution and environmental regulation intensity is not regulated by the "V" relationship.The environmental pollution situation is influenced by the intensities of environmental regulation.The two stage characteristics of "gradual mitigation and deterioration" are presented.The eastern region has crossed the threshold value of 28.212,and the further addition of environmental regulation will make the environmental pollution reduction effect "rebound",the increase of environmental regulation reduces the intensity of environmental pollution and reduces the speed of environmental pollution;the central and western regions have not crossed the threshold value of 28.212,environmental regulations.The increase in intensity will help speed up the improvement of environmental quality.
