Semi-rigid joint is a kind of complicated node type between the pure rigid jointand hinged joint, and its rotational stiffness is situated between the pure rigid connectionand articulated connection. So the study of semi-rigid connection of steel framestructural system has a very important significance. The structure applied the semi-rigidnode has many advantages, the nodes designed as the semi-rigid connection can makethe construction more convenient, energy dissipation of structure more stronger andeconomy better and so on. At present there are no domestic and foreign scholars tostudy the seismic performance of the box column of the semi-rigid frame bracingstructure using on the top and seat angle connections. This paper puts forward andconducts the test study on the box column semi-rigid of the structure under seismicaction, and the earthquake response and energy dissipation of the structure system underseismic action were analyzed. The following research results were obtained:(1) A test model of six-layer of box column semi-rigid steel frame brace structure wasdetermined and executed to conduct the shaking table test, and each layerdisplacement, acceleration, strain of parts of bars of the structure of under differentconditions were recorded. The seismic response of structures under the action ofearthquake effect was analyzed, and the lateral displacement and interlayerdisplacement and energy dissipation of structural model of the test under seismicaction was studied.(2) Through using the ABAQUS finite element analysis software, the semi-rigid jointtop and seat angle node in test structure was simulated, and its force was analyzed.Finally, the semi-rigid top and bottom moment angle joint angle curves using for testwas bulit.(3) By using the ANSYS finite element analysis software, the test model in the sameconditions was simulated, and the seismic response results comparing and analyzingwith experimental model structure were made. At the same time by using theANSYS finite element analysis software, a full-scale box column semi-rigid steelframe brace structure was built and the parameters analysis was carried out. Theinfluence of box column section size of the structure and slenderness ratio of braceon the seismic response was studied. The rule between the seismic response and thebox column section size and slenderness ratio of brace was determined.
