As the support for upper equipment,the turbo-generator foundation plays a vitalrole in the generator‘s safe-running, whether the core equipment or the power plantcan survive from the earthquake depends on how the foundation performs, soselecting a well-seismic-performed foundation determins a lot. In this dissertationthe aseismic performance of the spring vibration-isolated turbo-foundation is studied,and the main contents are as follows:Part1:To prepare basic parameters for the1:8model, which will be used forpseudo-dynamic experiment and the LS-DYNA finite element analysis,themechanical properties tests of the vibration-isolated spring are carried out,whichinclude the lateral shear stiffness tests of the springs and the checking tests of themaximum static friction coefficient for the friction mats.Prat2:To study the aseismic behavior of the spring vibration-isolatedturbo-foundation, Pseudo-Dynamic experiments under different intensity conditionsare carried out. All necessary datas are collected and caculated, based on which theearthquake response characteristics are researched. The test results show that thefoundation has good resistance under rarely earthquake, which can be inffered fromthe displacement and acceleration time history, the inter-story drift angle, therestoring force time history, the reinforcement strain, the hysteresis curve and thecracks going.Part3:To make clear how the spring behaves, two kinds of finite elementmodels are built by ANSYS/LS-DYNA, one is spring vibration-isolated foundation,the other is normal R-C frame foundation without spring. Modal analysis is used tomake sure the finite element is accurate and reliable. By comparsing springvibration-isolated foundation and the normal R-C frame foundation without spring,it shows that spring vibration-isolated foundation has the better emergency capecity,even if under rarely earthquake, it can still satisfy the requirements of seismicdesign standards; the failure mode is also analysised, and it‘s clear that it‘s just thesprings that make the difference.
