Power system as the basis of economic relations and the livelihood of the industry with safe operation is very important. To have a safety and stable operation of power system, the safe operation of substation is an important aspect. The transformer station, the main part of the power system, once having the accident will cause serious damage and need a long time to repair. Therefore, the substation monitoring is a very important. The on-line monitoring technology of substation equipment has more advantages, such as, timely monitoring, parameter analysis of substation equipment operation, realizing the on-line fault diagnosis of substation equipment, arranging easily the maintenance plans and improving the rate of utilization of substation equipment. Substation capacitor over voltage monitoring and capacitor monitoring are two important aspects of substation monitoring. To have substation equipment fault diagnosis and maintenance plan, this paper designed a set of high precision, strong timeliness of hierarchical distributed monitoring system of substation according to the two important core link and provided a strong guarantee for the stable operation of substation.To reduce the monitoring cost, this paper adopted the hierarchical and distributed technology over voltage of the occurrence and the capacitor state real-time monitoring system to avoid the complex type with no scalability and management inconvenience and other features, which has the very high popularization value. Combined with the actual situation of Dashikou 110 kV substation in Jingdezhen City, the hierarchical and distributed on-line monitoring system of substation is divided into three layers: the remote master station management, terminal management and on-site monitoring layer; the article designed the combination of the upper machine and lower machine three bus over voltage monitoring system of high voltage shunt capacitor on-line monitoring system.According to the requirements for monitoring the Dashiko 110 kV substation in Jingdezhen City, the composition and functions of each subsystem in substation monitoring system are discussed. The over voltage monitoring system of high voltage shunt capacitor and the on-line monitoring system was designed in detail. Finally, the monitoring system was installed in Dashiko 110 kV substation in Jingdezhen city. The online, offline and preartificial preparation test preliminary analysis of the data provided technical support for enterprises to achieve the state of the high voltage power equipment maintenance.The research and application based on distributed online monitoring system of transformer substation improve the Dashiko 110 kV substation equipment operation and maintenance level and provided a strong guarantee for the safe and stable operation of the protection of the substation.
