A Regional Comparative Study Of Li-long Housing On Tianjin And Shanghai In Early-modern Period

Modern Li-long housing in our country originates from the traditional local living mode. Under the influence of the historical background of semi-colonial and semi-feudal, it combined with the residential culture including commercialization and the aggregation from the west, so as to catch the steps of social development and residential needs. This unique shape has been one of the most important parts in Chinese residential architecture history. As a carrior of culture, Li-long housing in the modern times, has been influenced by the politics, economy, environment, climate, history, culture and so on. Therefore, it reveals much more clearly than the other building types on the human living conditions and splendid regional culture.It is second to none in Li-long housing construction that Tianjin and Shanghai, which are the earliest coastal commercial city of all the open ports, reflects different regional characteristics. Staring with morphological differences, this thesis has taken Tianjin and Shanghai modern Li-long housing as the research object, so that it could clarify the regional factors bringing about diversity. The study of natural environment, humanity environment, developing progress, site plan and plan could explore the expression and application, and furthermore, it might provide the theoretical support to the creativity in residential regional design at present.There are six charters in this paper which includes four parts.The first part (1st chapter):The exordium introduces the background, origin, purpose, significance, viewpoint, methods and outline of the study as well as summary of interrelated study in past, the research contents and definition of the concept.This part of the paper has set the stone for later comparison above all levels of discussion.The second part (2nd-3rd chapter):First of all, the comparative study on the regional root has been put forward by analyzing the natural and human environment of Tianjin and Shanghai Li-long housing.Secondly, it discusses the objective regional influence of the Li-long housing pattern under the time of urban residential modernize.The third part (4th-5th chapter):Conduct research on the overall layout and design features of the two monomers in Li-long housing covers many aspects such as space transportation, residential environment, size plane, space utilization, construction techniques and materials.The comparative study of Tianjin and Shanghai on Modern Li-long housing mainly focuses on the feedback form driven by the regional features.The fourth part(6th chapter):This part is about summary and implications of comparative study and some uses for reference in recent residential design with regional ways.
