| Reaction wall, in the structural laboratory of a university, is an experimental facility to provide reaction force for experimental structure and component, which could be applied to carry out static and repeated loading test of large traditional structure and component. The seismic performance test of huge building model and component could be implemented through reaction wall. Therefore the reaction wall, as a crucial part of the structural laboratory, has great realistic significance in the field of civil engineering including the aspects of teaching, development and academic research.Reaction wall is a large three-dimensional special structure, using the unbounded pre-stressed reinforced concrete chamber structure in its preliminary design. Considering the absence of corresponding reference, mature and reliable calculation method and design software, it could be simplified to I-shaped cantilever beam according to the actual situation of reaction wall.According to the relative design code in China, the preliminary design has been implemented satisfying the design task and related requirements. In this paper, the FEM analysis and design of reaction wall to ensure the safety, reliability and precision of reaction wall. The corresponding results obtained as follows:1. I-shaped cantilever beam model of the design task is safe and reliable, and it can achieve the relevant requirement.2. Through the numerical analysis of reaction wall, the amount of unbounded pre-stressed reinforcement steel increases comparing with the preliminary design. The reaction wall meets the crack requirements in design task when the unilateral tensile 5 15.2s?? steel strand increase from 46 to 50.3. With 50 5 15.2s?? steel strand in the unilateral tensile region, deflection and crack of ‘reaction wall’ and ‘reaction wall + pedestal’ respectively in design value and experiment value can meet the design task.4. According to the relative design codes, the preliminary design of the reaction wall could be implemented when satisfying the design task and the related requirements. In this paper, the preliminary design is assisted by numerical analysis, which could accomplish the reaction wall design and provide standard for it. |
