With the development of science and technology and the prosperity of transportation,people continue to raise more and more highly requirements to cars' safety and comfort.Automotive electronic products, as a combination of the automotive industry and electronic industry, can effectively improve vehicles' performance. EEPROM memory used in automotive electronics profoundly effect on cars' running in security and stability.On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of automotive electronic applications and the working principle of the EEPROM memory,this paper has not only completed the design of memory array, high-voltage circuits, sensitive amplifiers, and other modules,but also displayed the optimization of the key circuits and simulation results. According to results of simulation, optimised high-voltage circuits' average power consumption decreased to 31.7uA from 51.3uA, its' speed of improving voltage increased7%. Optimised sensitive amplifiers' average power consumption decreased to 3.2uA from31.8uA. it significantly improved efficiency of increasing voltage and reduced power dissipation. Based on this, the layout of each module were designed, circuits and layout were simulated and verified by using full-custom method.This paper used SMIC 0.18 um technology and applied Spectre simulation tools to simulate circuit. The results show that the circuit can work properly within 2V~3V voltage range, high-voltage circuit unit can generate high voltage 15.8V, the ripple size can control within 20 mV, the whole EEPROM circuits' read/ write / erase operations' functions are right and able to meet the system indicators, the port voltage of each memory cell requirements are met in each of the limit process corner, and the entire EEPROM maximum power consumption of 56.93 uA.
