Aircraft Landing gear sleeve is a key component on the aircraft landing gear.. It plays the vital role in the process of take-off and landing. Landing gear sleeve is made by difficult-to-machine materials, and its structure is complex. The efficiency of convectional machining in landing gear sleeve is relatively low. This is mainly due to the fact that multiple set-up change is required when employing various processing methods machining. The process of landing gear sleeve is complex and various. It is difficult to generate the cutter path trajectory and implement effective process management. Landing gear sleeve is complex shaft parts that the cylinder is the mounting surface with high processing requirements, and difficult to be machined by common turning machine.To solve the problem that multiple set-up change is required when employing various processing methods machining, turn-milling machine is used to verify the feasibility of multiple processes and solve the problem. In the verification process, the machining processing is developed including the machining plans, cutting parameters, machining tools and a set of intact technological process is generated. And the machine process is verified by actual machining part features of landing gear on turn-milling machine tool.For processing methods, processing precision and efficiency of cylindrical sleeve of landing gear, the thesis proposes orthogonal turn-milling error algorithm and the error algorithm is verified to be feasible through cutting simulation experiments. The maximum effective width processing methods is raised to optimize eccentricity, rotary shaft speed and spindle feed in the orthogonal turn-milling in order to optimize the toolpath and improve efficiency with controlling processing errors.Finally, universal software module of the landing gear sleeve have been developed based on UG secondary development, which can help to simplify the step of generating toolpaths and reduce the time of trajectory generation. It can help to effectively save and manage processing parameters, tools, and processes during the landing gear sleeve machining. And process knowledge can be heritage completely.
