The unloading platform is the common temporary construction facilities of construction site, belongs to the high risk activity of the project. Because of the unstandardization on production, installation, use, demolition of unloading platform, high fall accident, the collapse of the platform and Object against accident occured frequently, causing death of people. In the light of the situation that cantilever unloading platform was erected without specification, Foshan Nanhai Baoda Construction Machinery Equipment Co. Ltd. developed a cantilever unloading platform of CPT-2 drawer type and declared the patent. There is great practical significance in the systematic research on characteristics of CPT-2 unloading platform in the design, production, transportation, installation, use, maintenance, disassembly, storage and other stages, which can further regulate the production and use of this product and maximize its safety performance in the expected life cycle by the technical and management measures.The nature security of the structure of CPT-2 unloading platform is studied and the safety managements of the unloading platform’s entire life cycle are discussed in this paper. Firstly, this article discusses the causes of the unloading platform accident; next, load condition of the CPT-2 unloading platform is analyzed, the rationality of the design is tested through theoretical calculation; static load test of the CPT-2 unloading platform was carried on; by using MIDAS finite element software modeling, the safety of normal use conditions and extreme conditions is simulatively analysed; a safety monitoring device is designed. Finally, the major risk factors of CPT-2 is analyzed, the safety management measures of the parties are discussed from the perspective of all the main responsibility within the life cycle of the platform.Through analysis of theory and test, the structure’s properties and the stress level of the components of CPT-2 unloading platform under various conditions are attained. The results show that:(1)the strength and deflection of the platform under normal condition meet the security requirements, but overload and eccentric load must be strictly avoided;(2)the proportion of the pretightening force caused by tightening torque in the jacking pipe’s axial force is 60%-80%;(3)the forces of CPT-2 unloading platform imposing on the floor and the edge concrete beam under various conditions are showed, the bearing capacity of the concrete slab and the concrete beam should be calculated based on the actual situation when CPT-2 unloading platform is at work.As the main responsible parties, the manufacturer of CPT-2 unloading platform should ensure nature safety of the structure, constructor and supervisor should standardize the operation process and strictly implement management measures.
