Crime Prevention Facility Design In Residential Base On Anti—burglary

Crime prevention is a concern around the world and also a challenge in China's development. Burglary is a common crime in China, which not only leads to huge property losses for citizens, but also poses a serious threat on social stability.As human technology advances, crime types are also showing a trend of diversification. Today, the crime means, base and destruction to society have greatly changed compared to before, which causes increasingly severe harms on human social order. It is proved in practice that it is not ideal to curb crime just by "legal punishment". Therefore, other than the past principle of "Judicial prevention, social prevention", we need to take an alternative perspective to address this problem.At the beginning, this paper presents an overview of crime prevention theories at home and abroad, and an analysis on the current conditions of crime prevention concepts and design. It shows that compared to traditional crime prevention concepts, situational crime prevention theory attaches more importance to relations between human, objects and environment. This paper also takes people, objects and environment as the research object, so the situational crime prevention theory is taken as the theoretical basis for crime prevention design. First, through an analysis of crime situation, crime factors are identified and analyzed. Second, based on the analysis result, design principles of crime prevention are put forward; then, based on the above results and the study of burglary-related information obtained by visiting the public security departments, design methods to prevent burglary were summarized with reference to the situational prevention strategies in situational crime prevention theory. Finally, based on the above study and proposed design methods, a set of crime prevention strategies and means are put forward for families in typical communities.
