Underground Rail Transit Node's Space Strategy For Crime Prevention And Control

With the rapid development of urbanization in China, the traffic problem becoming an important factor to restricting development of urban areas increasingly, as a main modern urban public transport, metro is a large capacity, low energy consumption and less pollution public transport, is an effective tool to ease the tensions of urban traffic. But as a more attention public transport facilities, subway system is also faced with more complex situation of security, which the prevention and control task of the underground stations facing the more severe form. In response to this situation, designers need to take the relevant responsibility, through the reasonabe space and environment designe to prevent and control crime, and create a good and efficient environment of subway station, enhancing security atmosphere in the environmental of subway station, promoting the full use of, reasonably and diverse use of the underground space.The incidence of urban crimes depends on the city's space environment, in a certain extent, criminals'behaviors are rational, especially in the public space, the offenders will assess the pay of their inaction, returns and select the target, certain elements of urban space environment will directly affect this assessment, then affect the occurrence of criminal activity. Meanwhile, Living in the space environment in which users's attitudes and behavior will be positively or negatively influenced, provide how strength space's cohesion have for potential criminals. Therefore, the clever design can discourage motive for the crime, and to reduce the harm of crime has occurred,so as to achieve the purpose of crime prevention and control initiative.The basis of the above-mentioned point, this paper will explore the issues for city subway station of crime prevention and control from theory and practice. In this paper, based theories and research findings are:"defensible space" theory, CPTED, and ICA-related research, as well as the summary of related crimes prevention and control mechanisms to subway station at home and abroad, the analysis of the prevention and control of space station as the main research tool, have investigated and researched to the space of Tianjin subway station with systemic and professional, analysis of survey data with the qualitative research methods, research the various effects on crime of the station space, summarized the main issues of subway station space prevention and control, and Combined the crime prevention and control mechanisms of subway station at home and abroad related to proposed countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problem.
