Research On Protection And Relay Coordination Software For Generator-Transformer Unit

With the quickening pace of our country electric power infrastructure, as the electric power system "three line" the first line of defence of relay protection, will face a great work of caculation. The author during the period of graduate students has done a lot of generatortransformer unit relay calculation research, and feels the heavy tasks in the actual project. Then I made a exploratory research on generator-transformer unit relay protection setting calculation of automation. Although domestic line protection setting calculation software has been very mature, it does not do well when deal with the generator-transformer unit relay calculation process and cannot be directly applied. Our country is going to build a strong smart grid, then making protection setting calculation automatic and intelligent is the trend of the development of the industry.There are much work to do when to deal with generator-transformer unit relay calculation, and the manual calculation is not efficient, meanwhile, it's easy to have calculation error in manual. By contrast, through the computer to do the calculation,not only improve the efficiency and accuracy, but also simplify the review process.Develop generator-transformer unit relay calculation software mainly face three problems: 1.versatility and extensibility of software; 2. software automation high enough; 3.to make the software has too much work to do. Referred IEC61850 standard model to establish the dynamic model file database, solve the universality and extensibility problem of the program, QT programming software is used to implement the generator-transformer unit relay calculation software, completed the parameters database, model database file, the user interface development and testing, which makes calculation process automated.This paper designed a generator-transformer unit relay calculation software mainly includes three user operation module the project protection configuration, data input, generate reports and value list. The paper decribes the method of software and the working process, what's more, the software has already applied to the actual project, which can be normal output the calculation report, it has practical engineering application value.
