With the development of the smart grid, traditional electromagnetic current transformer becomes more and more difficulty to adapt the needs of development of digital and intelligent power system. Because of its measuring range, good linearity, and other advantages,Electronic Current Transformer gained rapid development. Affected by its structure and working principle of impact performance,electronic current transformer is not very stable. Vibration and other environmental factors influence its output obviously.Conventional electronic current transformer vibration performance testing program by collecting only the electronic current transformer output to determine its output is abnormal, the results is one-sided.To solve this problem, according to GB / T 20840.8-2007 transformers- Part 8 of the relevant requirements and vibration tests, this paper developed a test system which can associate the state of vibration source and the output of electronic current transformer.Through the simultaneous acquisition between the status information of the vibration source and the output of electronic current transformer, and the comparative analysis of the two-way data, automatically determine the breaker off and short-time current end time,and accurate measurement of output transformer vibration test process calculate the corresponding period of the transformer output root mean square value, determine the electronic current transformer under test is qualified. For two different vibration source:circuit breakers coupled vibration and short high current vibration, the vibration source state are gathering information by the monitoring circuit breaker status and a current sensor. According to requirements of GB / T 20840.8-2007,five electronic current transformer from different manufacturers were tested with this system in China Electric Power Research Institute of Electric Power Equipment Quality Inspection and Testing Center. In which, there are two samples output exceeds standards in the vibration of breaker test, one sample output beyond the standard requirements in the short-term high-current vibration test.Test procedures and results show that: The test system in accordance with GB / T20840.8-2007 requirements, and accurately test the vibration characteristics of the electronic current transformer,and it can be used to verify the primary component vibration test of electronic current transformer is qualified or not.
