Wind energy, as a renewable and clean energy, has been paid more and more attention by people. Along with the rapid development of wind power generation technology and the rapid increase of the installed capacity, fault monitoring and diagnosis of wind turbine has become a hot problems need to be solved. Due to the wind fram is located in the romate, distance dispersion and installation position is higher of wind turbines, resulting in vibration detection method is difficult to implementation and promotion. The use of electrical signals for fault analysis of generators is a more effective way, and can achieve real-time data acquisition and signal processing for multi-parameter fault diagnosis device research is less, both in domestic and overseas.This paper studies the use of electrical signals to detect and diagnose the fault of the transmission chain of the wind turbine, which can effectively avoid the problems of the vibration diagnosis technology in installation and debugging difficulty, later period high maintenance costs and so on. By using the characteristic that the fault information is the same moment(in phase) modulation on the voltage and current signals, respectively on the voltage and current signals do Hilbert transform to obtain modulation fault signal, and then two modulation components directly multiply by a known as the instantaneous power signal demodulation, avoids the complex calculation process of phase, improve the computational efficiency. In order to study the feasibility of applying this method to the fault diagnosis of wind turbine, a simulation model and a special simulation test-bed was designed, so the simulation and experimental research of the gear tooth broken are carried out. At the same time, adopting special digital signal processing chip DSP, through the expansion of the chip peripherals, such as A/D, D/A, as well as chip memory Flash and SRAM, designed a dedicated data acquisition and signal processor. According to the algorithm process of Matlab program, designed the C programming language of the Hilbert and instantaneous power of demodulation method, and experiment on the simulation test bench.The results of simulation and experiment indicate that the DSP signal processor combined with instantaneous power of demodulation method can real-time monitoring and diagnosis of wind turbine fault, can comprehensively reflect the mechanical fault characteristic components of the current and voltage signal, effectively restrain the high frequency interference current signal part, and highlight the fault characteristic frequency, is a effective and convenient signal processing method, applied to wind power system fault diagnosis.
