The building curtain wall industry in China was started in the 80’s of last century. With the high speed development, China’s overall national strength was enhancement and the use of building curtain wall in modern buildings was increased year by year. The building curtain wall has the advantages, such as its structure and using is sample and looks beautiful. With its occupied the market gradually, the quality problem of the curtain wall was concerned at the same time. Because of the problem occurred in the design, manufactured or building, the falling of curtain wall caused injury incidentally. With the development of the curtain wall industry and expiration of the curtain wall structures which designed and built in the early life, the testing for building curtain walls will be increasingly focused on.In this paper, a Client/Server structured, could remote acquisition and controlled acquisition system of the curtain wall wind pressure resistance characteristics data, has been designed and implemented for the GB/T 15227-2007(Test method of air permeability, water tightness, wind load resistance performance for curtain walls). The main hardware of the system includes Advantech data acquisition card PCI-1747 U and current collector DAM-8041. This design started form analyze the requirements of the building curtain wall testing system and using C/S structure to achieve resistance to wind pressure characteristics of remote data acquisition and control as the overall design of the system. Then implement the system from the hardware and software design. The hardware design selected the wind load resistance performance sensors. The software part studied the increasing method of static pressure and periodic fluctuation pressure in curtain wall testing system firstly. And a set of devices to achieve the fluctuations pressure was designed innovatively, which has simple structure. Then the data acquisition server and data processing client was designed in detail. The data acquisition server’s main functions were data acquisition, sent the data to client and the parameter control of wind pressure control. The data processing client convert the received data to air pressure and displacement data which has the real meaning, using the calibration data. And send the PLC control parameter to data acquisition server according to the testing modes.After running and debugging, the system could run 4 different curtain wall tastings at the same time. The static pressure testing function could achieve ±2Pa compression error. The fluctuations pressure device has a simple structure, low cost, easy to operate and other advantages. This data acquisition has 20 sample points per second per chancel. The deformation data acquisition’s accuracy could reach 0.1mm, and has 200 mm ranges. The air pressure data has a ± 2Pa accuracy and-10000Pa-+10000Pa acquisition range. This system has been used in building curtain wall testing center successfully and has a good running condition.
