Traditional automotive suspension systems have more difficult to balance the vehicle in the ride comfort and handling stability mutually contradictory conditions,due to its elastic element stiffness and damping are immutable. However, as an active suspension, Electronically Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS), this variable of the stiffness and damping characteristics of the vehicle which can be a better balance between ride comfort and handling stability of contradictions. ECAS can accord to road roughness, vehicle load, speed and other factors the suspension stiffness and damping can be adjust, as well as real-time ride height adjustment. Improved ride comfort and handling stability of the vehicle,at the same time low energy consumption, rapid and accurate control and so on.The main research objective of this article is to study the structural parameters of ECAS and design the control system of the vehicle that affect performance. The main idea is to study the characteristics of the structure of ECAS,and establish the dynamic system model, bench first electronically controlled air suspension, and verificating the accuracy of two degrees of freedom 1/4 vehicle air suspension model which were established, simulation and electrical properties controlled air suspension. The simulation results show that the effect of different structure parameters and control systems for drivability comparing that changing the structure parameters of vertical body acceleration, suspension dynamic deflection, tire dynamic workspace have significantly change, and thus impacting the vehicles ride.PID control strategy for ECAS and fuzzy self-tuning PID control strategy for ECAS, the vehicle body vibration damping basically reached the requirements of effectiveness, vehicle performance has significantly improved in the vehicle significantly better on vehicles equipped with passive suspension system, while camparing with fuzzy PID and PID,the former more significantly better than the effect of the latter...
