By taking the Suzhou-style decorative painting at the eaves of Palace Museum,this article remarked the location and type of the existing Suzhou-style decorative painting at the open area in Palace Museum as a whole,including the systematic summary as well as framework sorting of the existence status,color status,general picture of line-adorning and the line-adorning in detail,among which the author emphatically summarized the line-adorning in detail,color inclination brightness,and saturation of Suzhou-style decorative painting.Based on combining with earlier color data and pictures,it formulated a series of chart about the Suzhou-style decorative painting at the eaves of Palace Museum,which not only fully prepared for the proposition of paper system as well as elaboration of conclusion,but also provided basic reference for the scholars researching this field.Firstly,in the aspect of color,this article defined the scope of color gene of Suzhou-style decorative painting at the eaves of Palace Museum,and induced its color status.Secondly,as for the line-adorning,it sorted the unique line-adorning in Suzhou-style decorative painting such as collection of bright and beautiful and clip through combining with the overall composition of color painting,which put emphasis on the shape as well as size of the line-adorning in detail that used to be neglected by people.In the aspect of demonstration method,the author applied comparative analysis approach to analyzed and summarize the color of decorative painting.Instead of regarding the color of Suzhou-style decorative painting in one-sided view,it surveyed color gene in large amount based on the color status of three categories of official style decorative painting.Then,this article discussed about the variation scope of color in different classifications,periods and buildings.By comparing the color gene of dragon pattern and tangent circle pattern with Suzhou-style decorative painting,it obverse the crossed and overlapping sections of color.As for the line-adorning,within capacity,it depicted some line-adorning in detail in classification rather than set out or pile pictures,which both deepened the understanding of the line-adorning in detail of Suzhou-style decorative painting and showed the high artistic creation of ancient craftsman with providing basic reference for the scholars researching this field in the future.
