The complex features of human pulse wave created by the periodic pulse of heart and the elastic expansion and contraction of vascular system contains a wealth of human physiology, pathology information with the contribution of the reflected waves from peripheral vascular segments and vessel branches. Pulse diagnosis is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) method to diagnostic physiological and pathological conditions of the human body by superficial pulse signal detected on the radial artery Cunkou portion. As non-invasive diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, TCM Pulse diagnosis has accumulated rich experience. In order to quantify the TCM pulse diagnosis, it is need to study and analyze the different states of physiological parameters change corresponding pulse signal change. For this purpose, the paper achieves a variety of TCM pulse physiological and pathological state simulation based on cardiovascular system model and discusses the propagation and reflection of vascular network of the pulse wave.In this paper, a simplified Navier-Stokes equations, which can describe the solid-liquid flow, is used to build the constitutive equation of vessel segment depends on the physiological parameters of vascular, and based on which I build the equivalent electrical network model of the vascular system. By introducing the heart valve model which meets the three-stage motion and optimization model of heart chamber, I observe the formation and change process of the dicrotic notch at aortic root, provide a variety of input for the study of pulse wave along the vascular network. A one dimensional pulse wave solver is used to analyze the pulse wave propagation and reflection process in the vascular network, and adds the facility to represent efficiently the effects of pulse wave transmission during TCM pulse diagnose with three positions. Besides, the impact of the reflected wave from the vascular bed for the formation of pulse wave at the radial artery is tested. In the final chapter, it presents a cardiovascular model coupled left upper extremity arterial and aortic segments with left heart model and simulate changes in cardiovascular physiological parameter changes corresponding pulse signals. This paper achieves the simulation of typical normal pulse, slippery pulse, wiry pulse and the hypertension pulse signal. The model of cardiovascular system is not only useful for observing and verifying the pulse wave propagation and reflection process, it can also provide teaching aids for modern medical research and help physicians predict patient disease process of cardiovascular disease, and for the clinical application of medical devices test the effect of seeking the best controlled design. With further study of the formation mechanism of the pulse wave, the mechanism would be clear that how cardiovascular physiological parameter changes corresponding to changes in pulse signal. The study is conducive to the promotion of pulse diagnosis, facilitating efficient diagnosis and treatment of non-invasive means.
