As a kind of viscoelastic material,asphalt has the ability of self-healing after damage,which has been widely recognized by researchers.In recent years,researchers have also tried to use the characteristics of asphalt to make asphalt pavement self-healing,the representative of the technology has micro capsule,electromagnetic induction heating,etc..Electromagnetic induction heating of asphalt concrete self-healing technology has the advantages of process is relatively simple,and it can repair many times,when compared to the microcapsule.And compared with the traditional pavement repair technology,it has the advantages of non-damage repair,environmental protection and energy saving.In this paper in order to make asphalt concrete can be induction heating,the steel shot is added into the AC-13 C SBS modified asphalt concrete as the conductive material.The asphalt concrete can be heated in the electromagnetic induction machine,the asphalt can flow due to the high temperature,so that the internal crack can be closed.Then,the mechanical properties,induction heating performance and induction heating self-healing ability of the asphalt concrete were studied.And the steel wool as a conductive material for simultaneous contrast.The AC-13 C SBS modified asphalt concrete were analyzed with ratio design and determine the shot of three kinds of grain diameter 0.6mm and 1.0mm,1.4 mm)and three dosage(asphalt concrete volume of 2%,4%,6%)were compared,the steel wool with 3.5mm 4# crush type steel wool,the dosage of asphalt volume occupied by 4%.Tested the mechanical properties of mixed shot of asphalt concrete,including the experiment of high-temperature stability,low-temperature anti cracking test,water stability test and adhesion test.Test results show that changes in the mechanical properties of the composite with steel shot size,content showed certain regularity and its mechanical properties is not doped conductive material of asphalt concrete has increased,and can meet the requirements of specification.In general,the doped 0.6mm shot of asphalt concrete has good mechanical properties,but with little difference between the doped 1.0mm steel shot,and the mechanical properties of the doped 1.4mm shot of asphalt concrete is relatively poor.Through the test the shot mixed asphalt concrete expansion temperature is 100 ?,and determine the induction heating induction coil and surface distance of 10 mm.Asphalt concrete mixed shot of induction heating rate test.The results showed that the material's heating rate increases with increase of the shot and the dosage of steel shot size.Mixed shot of asphalt concrete under different induction heating temperature self-healing ability were studied failure mode by using three point bending test.Results show that when the steel shot size of 0.6mm and 1.0mm,asphalt concrete self-healing effect better,induction heating self-healing the best temperature determine is 80 degrees.In order to make the steel shot mixed asphalt concrete has good mechanical properties,at the same time with fast induction heating rate and induction heating self-healing ability.Finally,mixed shot of asphalt concrete were integrated optimization design,proposed shot optimum particle diameter 1.0mm,the best mixing amount to 6% of the volume of asphalt concrete.
