Research On The Spatial-Temporal Differences Of Driving Forces Of Green Rate Of Built District Growth In China

Urban green space construction is a matter of economic and social sustainable development and people’s well-being.Since the 1990’s,with the rapid development of urbanization,economy and society,the level of urban green space construction has also been greatly improved.However,there is a big difference in the level of urban green space construction in our country both in different time and space dimensions.Under the background of rapid urbanization in China,finding out the inner mechanism of the evolution of the urban green space construction in China,and the spatial-temporal differences of driving forces of urban green space construction can provide important theoretical support for the more balanced development.This paper uses the econometric method to analyze the relationship between green rate of built district and the driving forces from two dimensions of time and space with 31 provincial panel data from 1988 to 2013.The research process mainly includes the panel data unit root test,co integration test and regression model establish.The result shows:(1)Urban land expansion,urban economic development,urban population increase,urban infrastructure improvement and urban green investment increase were the main driving forces of green rate increase in China’s built-up area.The variables used to characterize the urban land,economic,population,infrastructure and green investment had a long-term equilibrium relationship with green rate of built district,and could explain the variation of green rate of built district.(2)In spatial scale,urban population increase was the strongest driving force in the country,East and Middle,but wasn’t statistically significant in the West.The urban infrastructure improvement was the most important driving force in the West,and also was a strong driving force in the country and East,but wasn’t statistically significant in the Middle.Urban economic development and urban land expansion were relatively moderate driving forces in the country and three regions.Urban green investment was the weakest driving force in the country and three regions.(3)From the perspective of time scale,on the national level,the driving force of urban land scale expansion was constantly enhanced,and it had become the most important force to promote the growth of green rate of built district.The driving force of urban population increase had been weakening all the time.The force of urban economic development,infrastructure improvement and investment increase had been increasing.
