Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area(TEDA) is implementing the Twelfth Five-year Plan at present. During this period, the construction and development of water supply system in TEDA faces many new situations such as the shortage and pollution of fresh water resources, the improvement of the drinking water quality standard, the incorporation of Binhai New Area into national development strategy, and so on. This requires us to provide the guaranteed supply of water for production and living in TEDA at a higher level. At the same time, on the basis of Planning Index of the social and economic development of TEDA and prediction of the final and long-term water demand in TEDA during Twelfth Five-year, the restoration of the first and second phases of water supply ability of water plants in TEDA is imminent.The reconstruction and expansion project of water plant in TEDA includes first and second phases of collection works and purification works. Due to the uncertainty of the raw water quality, the processing technology of existing equipment cannot reach the original design capacity of water supply. The expansion project will select and optimize the advanced mature water treatment process according to the characteristic of raw water quality and objectives of effluent water quality, making management convenient and water supply safety, high-quality and reliable.The project transforms the existing baffled flocculation tank and builds new pre-ozone contact pool, mechanical mixing well, carbon adsorption pool and ultraviolet(UV) workshop to make the investment economic and achieve the remarkable effect.The selection of process responds to national calls for energy conservation and emissions reduction, considers depth treatment and sludge treatment system reserved. It is required that, the effluent water quality should meet " Standards for drinking water quality "(GB5749-2006), after treatment by water plant. And, 108 water quality indicators require using Carbon Adsorption Pool as the main body of the feed water treatment technology.
