| Transmission line of power system, which is the basic carrier of power transmission, is an indispensable part of power supply network. As transmission line in the power system, its role is irreplaceable. With promotion of the national people's living level and speedy development of industry, the whole society has come up with even higher requirements for the safety and reliability of the electric supply of the power system, especially for that of power transmission line laid in large extent in the wilderness, where its safety is confronted with challenges. The ice disaster happened in 2008 caused many accidents like line breaking, tower collapse for the transmission line in southern area of our country, which made severe damages for the power grid, directly resulted in several days of power supply interruption for many areas, severely affecting normal production of enterprises and normal life of common people, even endangering some lives of people in the disaster area. Ice coating is the root reason for this kind of disasters, so, in order to further promote safety and reliability of power transmission line, we must be able to examine fully the environment and loading condition of the transmission line, especially for those at high elevation area with bad climate conditions, where challenges for safety of transmission line posed by ice coating are even protruding.This paper makes a design to realize an invisible online examination system for ice coating, and gives the detailed design for hardware and software, according to the affect of ice coating on the line and its features. The system uses weighing module, temperature and moistness module and GPRS module, to make comprehensive data collection for load, temperature and moistness of ice coating on high voltage line, and sends the required data to handheld devices by GPRS module for real time analysis of data, and it can send pre-warning and alarming signals timely so that loss from ice coating disasters can be reduced. |
