With the continuous development of distribution network, the data and information of the grid is more and more, and the distribution network is increasingly complexity, which requires higher requirements of distribution network management. Distribution automation systems can make managers to understand the real-time situation and the load trend of the distribution network conveniently, implement the scientific method to deploy the accurate data of the power load rationally in order to achieve the optimization of distribution network control dispatch and management, furthermore reduce the work intensity and lower operating costs. Therefore, the research of this article based on the GPRS data acquisition platform and database management of distribution network has significant practical value.According to analyzing the relevant application of the domestic and international, this paper discussed data acquisition technology based on GPRS in distribution network automation system, design data acquisition terminal CPU module based on GPRS, data acquisition module and communication module to meet system demand, create a reasonable data table according to data characteristics of regional distribution, so as to achieve efficient and fast data query, statistics and so on, and fulfill the main model functional design of communication protocol and data management system. Finally, this paper discussed remote data acquisition and data management of power distribution automation system in the perspective of designing, and proposed the corresponding solutions.
