The Compensation Of Land Requisition To The Land-lost Farmers Involved By The South-to-north Water Diversion Project

The South-to-North Water Diversion Project,consisting of eastern,middle and western routes,is designed to divert water from the south of the country with rich water,mainly the Yangtze River which is the longest river in this country,to the dry north. Along the way,it is bound to the expropriation of land in order to ensure the construction of the whole project.Therefore,the South-to-North Water Diversion Project will involve land requisition issues inevitably. The compensation is directly related to the project’s construction,harmony and stability of the whole society,and the prosperity and development of our country.The aim of this thesis is to find and solve the problems which are exicting in the compensation of land requisition to the land-lost farmers involved by the South-to-North Water Diversion Project,and establish a set of efficient system to provide practical guarantee for the farmers.This thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is to introduce the background and significance of this research topic.Also,this part introduces the domestic and foreign research achievements and current situation as while.The second part describes the basic information of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and concepts in the compensation of land requisition to the land-lost farmers. At the same time,I analysed the compensation and security policy to find the problems and find out the causes.The third part is a case analysis of Linqing,a part of South-to-North Water Diversion Project.I mastered the compensation given to the land-lost farmers by field investigation,and identifid specific problems through the information and puts forward the specific countermeasures.The fourth part is written on the basic of the three previous parts,and finally finds out countermeasures,which are more reasonable and adequate,about providing compensation to the land-lost farmers involved by the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
