Study Of Style And Features Remodeling Of Urban Space Based On The Visual Angle Of Losing Culture

After the reform and opening-up in 1978, the cities witnessed fast development.The economic growth brought along serious social problems, like the local broken cultures, the damage of the city layout, the deterioration of the environment, and the great diverge between rural and urban. For the sound and continual development of cities, China puts forward strategies in new-type urbanization, and the development will change from quantity growth to quality improvement, and the consumption of the existed resources rather than overproduction. The National New-town Urbanization Planning(2014-2020) pointed out that the new cities and towns should be healthy and great for living and working, rich in culture and sense of belonging. Therefore, the thesis analyzes why all the cities developed in the same pattern and mode, and how to rebuild the city culture with local features to increase the sense of belongings of the citizens and the unique cultures of each city. The thesis falls into two sections: the culture rebuilding and development, and the city layout with special features. To rebuild the city with featured space layout, the lost city cultures will be collected and establish an appraisal system to select out the genuine lost culture and reconnect the lost culture with the city building hereafter with the help of CIS, and the research strategies of rebuilding the city space with local cultures.As mentioned above, the thesis, from the cultural view, points out the defects of the city space building today, and stresses the close relationship between the lost city culture and the city space building. The first key problem of the thesis was cracked by defining the lost city culture: it has four features of uniqueness, historic,representative and epochal. The uniqueness of the city is composed of the natural culture and historic culture. Therefore, the lost city culture will accelerate the city development full of traditional culture, helpful for the rebuilding of the city with features and image-building. The next is the main part of the thesis, the theoretical research of rebuilding the city space with styles and features. The second part solved another key problem in the thesis, which is how to rebuild the city space with local cultures. By establishing the city lost culture appraisal system to find out the genuine lost city culture, and brand culture value classification with CIS system, a dynamic behavioral pattern and a static space visual identification system will be build to successfully connect the invisible lost culture with the actual and solid city spacebuilding. The last part proposes the city rebuilding strategies in the macro city layout,the designs between macro and micro, and micro designs in the guidance of the lost city culture. The strategy was carried out in a case study of Wanli District in a city,and further improvements of the theoretical defects, and reiterates the viewpoint and originalities of the thesis. The originalities of the thesis are defining the lost city culture in quantification, the introduction of public participation mechanism, and the research of the rebuilding the city space with local featured cultures.
