Virtual prototype technology and computer simulation have been wildly applied to product design. While mechanical time fuse holds important position among time fuses. This thesis aims at building a virtual prototype model of clockwork which was drove by centrifugal motor. And the author did dynamics simulation and finite-element analysis toward the model.Through analyzing the influence of motor and governor system in mechanical time fuse to the accuracy of clock mechanisms, and useing Solid Works software to set up virtual models which included centrifugal ball motor, pendulum- linear vertical spring system, gear transmission system, the author finally assembled these parts into a whole mechanical clockwork-driven fuse model.Based on the virtual model of clock-driven fuse, the author did an in-depth simulation analysis by the use of Adams, a software for dynamic analysis. The main contents of simulation are shown here. By simulating the centrifugal motor driven by the ball, the followings were achieved: The output force curve was tested, and the results serve the function of providing a reference data for the applicable scope of motor and the stress status of gear. Under the constant input force, the influence of different pendulum force to the vibration period was analyzed; In the environment without centrifugal fore, the influence of different input moment to the vibration of clockwork governor was tested; In the environment with centrifugal force and constant moment input, the author analyzed the influence of escapement with or without friction force to the vibration period of clockwork governor.Ignoring the friction force but considering about the speed attenuation caused by air resistance,the longest function time of clockwork was analyzed through simulating the overall model of centrifugal motor. The load relation was gotten through designing and simulation analysis.And the rationality of the design was examined by using FEM software ANSYS to do static analysis for cleats and wheel grove.
