| Human are making tremendous progress in various fields, and now China is experiencing the fast urbanism. Millions of rural residents have abandoned their houses and fields to look for jobs in big cities, thus has resulted in the waste of rural lands and the destroy of old heritage buildings in the old villages. Some of these old villages, which are in good natural and cultural conditions, are worthy to be developed into famous tourism spots. Today, as people’s fortune increases, the tourism industry in these old villages is developing at a very high speed. In order to make full use of these rich tourism resources and give a new birth to these dying villages, developing spectacular old village eco-tourism is a very preferable and promising choice. After literature reviews and field trips, it has been proved that the main reason that these old villages are able to keep their original cultural and historical features is that, they are located in the remote and poor places that are difficult to be reached and to be influenced by modern civilization. Few local residents have realized the huge culture and tourism value in these buildings and landscapes. If they earn money, their first choice is destroying these old houses to build up new buildings, some villagers even will utilize the modern technologies they thought to destroy the wholeness of local landscapes. These are the existing conflicts between the local culture and modern culture, and developing tourism is also in conflicted with the local environment protection and the local residents’ normal life. In this article, the author has done lots of analysis on the interaction between architects preservation, landscape restoration and tourism development to coordinate these three aspects to lead to a promising future.A lot of fully developed and advanced theories have been introduced in my research, such as ecological theory, green tourism, eco-tourism, low carbon tourism, threshold theory and community theory. The article will focus on the project-Longtan River Old Villages Development-to verify my theory. Categorizing a range of tourism resources, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the local sites, and coming up with reasonable development strategy and preservation regulation. Utilizing this project to summarize the initial core contends of old village tourism planning and design, which should involve in the tourism resources exploration, tourism style protection, buildings faces preservation, local cultural heritage exhibition and protection, basic infrastructure operation and so on, and all these data mentioned above should be summarized and guided by ecological theory. |
