Reactive Powder Concrete is famous for its high solidity and low porosity in the world.Especially,RPC has been relished since it appeared by people because it's excellent mechanical properties,strong toughness,high durability and good environmental protection and saving.High compressive strength and strong toughness of RPC cater for the harsh need of housing construction,bridge,underground engineering etc,so,RPC is becoming better and better in engineering.RPC belongs to High Performance Concrete that is new high-tech concrete by use of modern technology and greatly improving the performance of ordinary concrete basis.Although,RPC has higher strength,not lower enough weight than ordinary concrete,can't cater for the need of lightweight and high strength.Considering that,this test strive to make up higher Reactive Powder Concrete and the study of its mechanical properties.The purpose of this test is basically holding RPC's strength and greatly reducing RPC's weight by the incorporation of lightweight materials.Just started,this test explores RPC's mixture ratio under this laboratory's conditions by adjusting the water of mixing was.On the basis of RPC's mixture ratio,bubble and ceramic are chosen to reduce RPC 's weight.Because bubble is organics and operated difficultly,can't merge with the other materials and the mixture's weak strength,excluded.While,ceramic has strong shell and intensive gaps,can mix with the other materials and can cater for the need of concrete's lightweight and high strength.Just like our guess,with the increase of ceramic's content,the strength and elastic modulus of concrete let down.The concrete of 10%ceramic has strength as same as C45,higher than the ordinary concrete.The strength of different proportions of ceramic concrete may suit different needs.In this paper,the kind of ceramic-reactive powder concrete is called light reactive powder concrete.Light reactive powder concrete in the price of raw materials was increased but not decreased than traditional concrete,however,after taking into account its relatively superior durability than ordinary concrete,light reactive powder concrete still has considerable economic advantages.Study have shown that ceramic added,reducing the RPC toughness.But in general,it is much larger than ordinary concrete toughness.Last but not the least,we get mathematical formula of elastic modulus by analyzing in Micromechanics.Baseded on that light reactive powder concrete has lower density and less elastic modulus than ordinary Concrete,it may make a contribution to reducing earthquake action.By calculating two examples of earthquake engineering,this paper verifys the function of light reactive powder concrete in earthquake engineering.At last,by analysising Ceramic's inside and outside,this paper brings forward a better model of iron caltrop than Ceramic.In this way,the Concrete will have higer strength and lighter weight.
