With the rapid development of China's economy, the spiritual and cultural needs of the people of are rapidly growing, and the self consciousness is gradually awakening. The design idea and method of the ramp space which are focused only on the basic functional requirements have been unable to the meet a higher level demands of people. In addition, there are also some ramp space one-sidedly emphasizing and highlighting the visual image, while ignoring the feelings of people in the ramp space experience, which results in a lack of more abundant activities other than traffic, so that the ramp lose the vitality of the place.Architectural phenomenology which particularly emphasizes on the perception and experience of the human body and experience in building memory space, provides us a new perspective of thinking, so that when we analyze the basic cognition of the ramp space, we will pay more attention to inclined plane space perceptual experience of the users at the same.In this thesis, the design of the inclined plane space from the phenomenological perspective is set as a starting point. Firstly, the relevance of the inclined plane space design and phenomenology is interpreted by studying the theoretical research of phenomenology, and the two associated features is extracted namely:the cognitive association and perceptual association; Secondly, through the analysis of the issues of the current inclined plane space design, three space goals of the inclined plane space design from the phenomenological perspective are cleared:multi-dimensional continuous space, creating dynamic sites, and rich space experiences; Five design principles are also proposed in this thesis, namely the principles of humanity, the principle of openness, the principle of identification, the principle of inclusiveness, the principle of inducibility; Finally, in order to achieve the three goals of the space, the inclined plane space is interpreted from the cognitive level and the perceptual level respectively under the guidance of the five design principles. Through the large numbers of outstanding domestic and international case studies, twenty four specific design strategies are refined to provide new ideas and design strategies for the creation and practice of the inclined plane space in the future.
