Since modern times, architecture has experienced a crisis from scientific rationality to image. The value orientation of museum architecture has changed with the development of society.Museum architecture is no longer only the window of civilization, but also a pronoun of cultural significance and a vivid experiential place. How to return to the original value of architecture and regain the real architectural experience has become an urgent demand of museum architecture. The second chapter reviews the development of phenomenological philosophy and related concepts..At the beginning of the 20 th century,Husserl’s phenomenology emerged as a resistance of analysis philosophy. After the development of Heidegger and Merleau Ponty, phenomenology has two branches, which make the phenomenological approach come into the field of architecture. One is focusing on the topic of "presence" and "in field".The other is to return to the world and body.In the analysis of the architectural theory of place phenomenology and perceptual phenomenology, the guiding significance of place theory and the practical significance of perceptual phenomenology are clarified. In the third chapter, this dissertation focuses on the architectural theory and perceptual practice works of three architects,Palasma,Hall and Zumto, and interprets the design strategies and design methods from the three levels of architectural perception: perceptual material, comprehensive perception and perceptual consciousness. These specific strategies and methods have laid the foundation for the strategy of the phenomenological method of Museum perception. In the fourth chapter, this dissertation analyses the perceptual phenomenological characteristics of museum architecture.Combining with specific practical design projects and museum cases,it puts forward four design strategies and methods with characteristics of perceptual phenomenology in four aspects: atmosphere creation, detail perception experience, space experience, light and shadow experience of museum sites. In the end, this dissertation summarizes the methods of dialogue between phenomenology and architecture, looks forward to the future and discusses the value and significance of phenomenology in the field of architecture.Phenomenological method is not an absolutely correct truth, but it guides architects to reflect, face up to the crisis and dilemma facing architecture, and actively seek the right way of design. The total number of papers is more than 57,000 words and 126 illustrations.
