With the development of today’s society and the improvement of living standards, the era of experience-based economy has arrived.People’s consumption behavior changes due to the change of consumption concept. The "experience sense",has become an important consideration factor in the current consumption process. The catering industry is an important part of the consumer service industry. Therefore, under this background, its internal transformation is also constantly changing. The dining space is the carrier of people’s dining consumption. The experiential dining space is to convey the emotion to the consumers through the design language of the space,so that the consumers can fully feel the experience and appeal of the space. At this time, consumers in the dining space are also space experiencers and perceivers. In the contemporary Western philosophical thoughts,Husserl created phenom enology which was called "descriptive psychology".It believes that when we know the world,we should only describe the phenomena we directly experience. We should put all experience, knowledge or the preconceived opinion aside to avoid affecting our experience of things. Therefore, the object of phenomenology is the experience of the subject or the experience of consciousness after deep processing. As a reflection and development of Husserl’s phenomenology,Merleau-Ponty’s perceptual phenomenology begins with perception. The main task of perceptual phenomenology is to observe and describe as much as possible how the world is presented before perception.of.In short,it is to return from the subject of consciousness to the body of the body.Projecting this philosophical thinking in the dining space, the consumers who eat are using the perceptions of the body、to recognize the space and feel the space through direct feedback from the body. Therefore, this paper introduces Merleau-Ponty’s perceptual phenomenological perspective,re-examining the relationships of people’s "body" and dining space through the philosophical thinking of "physical subject" in the phenomenology of perception and the interpretation of body perception, movement and behavior.Combining the actual design examples,it analyzes experiencers from catering space how to use the perception to complete the experience of the space. At the same time,it tries to analyze from multiple perspectives to explore the dining space with good experience how to reach an interactive relationship with the experiencer through its design method. Finally,it analyzes and summarizes the creation strategy of experiential dining space in the context of perceptual phenomenology.
