| The Yellow River is the second longest river in China. The Yellow River Estuary is in the place where the Laizhou Bay and Bohai Bay meet, locating in Dongying city, Shandong province. Since the Yellow River flows through the Loess Plateau area, carrying a large amount of sediment to the Yellow River Estuary every year, the Yellow River Estuary sediment concentration is huge. Along with the Shandong province reclamation projects in Laizhou Bay, the Yellow River Estuary and Laizhou Bay hydrodynamics change significantly. Therefore, the study on hydrodynamic environment and suspended sediment transport in Laizhou Bay is very necessary. In this paper, the numerical simulation method is used to study the influence of reclamation on hydrodynamic force.In this paper, based on the wind, runoff into the sea, precipitation, evaporation and other factors, using the unstructured triangular mesh establishes a large-scale hydrodynamic model of Bohai Sea. And use the measured velocity, flow, salinity, wave, suspended sediment concentration data to verify hydrodynamic model. The results of model show that it can simulate the hydrodynamic characteristics and temperature and salinity process variations of Bohai. And it may provide the basis hydrodynamic boundary conditions and the initial temperature and salinity data, sediment field for the subsequent small-scale model of the Yellow River Estuary and Laizhou Bay.According to the large-scale model of Bohai Sea, establish a hydrodynamic, wave, sediment coupled small-scale model of the Yellow River Estuary and Laizhou Bay. It focus on the results of waves, temperature and salinity and sediment. The results show that wind wave is a major part of the wave, the wind is the main influence of the wave height. In summer, the horizontal distribution of temperature is that temperature of shore is higher than the temperature of away from shore; winter is just the opposite. In terms of salinity field, due to the freshwater of river input, the salinity is very low at river estuary. As far away from estuaries, the salinity gradually increases. In time distribution, the river freshwater input increases in the summer, so that the salinity in summer will be slightly lower than the salinity in winter. In terms of the suspended sediment concentration, due to the sediment mainly from Yellow River, the suspended sediment concentration near the Yellow River Estuary is higher than suspended sediment concentration in Laizhou Bay. And as far from the Yellow River Estuary, suspended sediment concentration will be reduced.Using the verification model predicts the reclamation projects in Laizhou Bay will have an impact on the surrounding waters from the tide, tidal, wave and suspended sediment concentration. The reclamation projects impact very small for the entire hydrodynamic in Laizhou Bay, the affecting mainly near the projects. In the area by the project shelter, wave height will reduce, the value lines of wave height will fallback. Wave lift sediment will also been reduce, suspended sediment concentration will decrease in the water near the projects. |
