Study On The Transformation And Upgrading Of Old Residential Areas' Green Environment

Greening, is not only a part of human living environment, but also an important part of urban ecological environment development. The greening environment in residential area has a direct effect on residents' living quality. A variety of residential leisure and entertainments can be available by a good residential outdoor environment. Nowadays, many conditions and supporting facilities in old residential area cannot meet demands of modern people's life, especially green environment which has the closest relations with people. Therefore, how to make reasonable transformation and improvement of greening environment in the old residential districts and narrow this gap between the old and new residential communities, is one of the important purposes in this study.The research object falls on the residential communities built from the 1970s to 1980s in Zhengzhou, Henan. Through the theoretical study on greening environment reconstruction of the old residential community, as well as on-the-spot investigation of nine old residential communities and two newly-built ones in three districts (Jinshui, Erqi and Zhongyuan) of Zhengzhou, a comparison of greening situation is made between the old and the new. And accordingly the specific methods for greening renovation in the old residential communities are put forward combining with the existing greening basis in these areas.First of all, the research background is briefly introduced, the content, purpose and significance of greening renovation are elaborated by some related theories of greening renovation and definitions of some related concepts; at the same time the renovation method and technical route are determined.Secondly, with a review of the development course of residential communities in Zhengzhou and their current renovating situations, the construction background of greening renovation is provided. Some problems of greening environment in the old residential communities are found out, on researching the general greening situation in some residential communities built from the 1970s to 1980s in Zhengzhou, and the causes of these problems are explored. After analyzing on the greening reform impetus and detecting the renovating potential of the old ones, the overall goals and strategies of greening renovation are put forward and its specific methods are explored.Finally, through the research on the practical renovation of some residential communities built from the 1970s to 1980s in Zhengzhou, the implementing ways of greening renovation are summarized to provide applicable and useful support for greening renovation for Zhengzhou and other cities...
