In modern packaging designs,emotional and humanized designs are of popularity.Governed by "emotional appeal" and the "design for people" philosophy,the wedding jewelry packaging design attaches great importance to the patterns and connotations of traditional auspicious patterns,displaying the web of emotions in the weddings.Traditional auspicious patterns meets the basic function of the packaging and also meet the consumers' desire to pursue happiness and aesthetic enjoyment.The project takes "Lao Feng Xiang" modern wedding jewelry packaging as the object of study and aims to redesign the packaging based on traditional auspicious patterns.Through an analysis of the status quo of domestic and international wedding jewelry packaging design with reference to the philosophy “emotional appeal" and the "design for people",“Lao Feng Xiang” wedding jewelry packaging is reoriented and redesigned under the guidance of “Construction”.Specifically speaking,we simplify the design of auspicious patterns and make it a perfect match of the packing box,updating the old design by adding more elements in the shading patterns.In decoration,we abandon all extra elements and strive tomake the design simple,generous,and integrated.In the choice of materials,we use biodegradable materials to meet the basic functional needs with reasonable structure design and the box body thickness with an aim to be environmental friendly.The works attempt to reinterpret the traditional auspicious patterns with the modern aesthetic thinking,so that it can display Chinese culture in a fashionable and creative way.and with the new fashion elements of integration,seeking design innovation.These series of works can not only help to supplement the domestic wedding packaging design theory,but also give some insight into wedding packaging design,which is quite beneficial to the development of packaging design in China.
