Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) has many advantages, such as its simple structure, low cost, simple and reliable power circuit, good speed performance and high operating efficiency, etc. It is regarded as a reluctance motor with great development potential. After years of scholars’ research, a new kind of Hybrid Excitation Switch Reluctance Motor(HESRM) is proposed, which is through the high performance rare-earth permanent magnet is applied to the switch reluctance motor. It has been proved that it not only inherits the advantages of the original switched reluctance motor, but also its electromagnetic torque is further improved.This article is based on the 4-phase and 8/6 pole Hybrid Excitation Switched Reluctance Motor as the research object. Firstly, this paper bases on the finite element analysis software Ansoft, through the two- dimensional static magnetic field analysis of the static torque, magnetic chain and other parameters of HESRM, the data for the future hybrid excitation switched reluctance motor control provides a reference.Secondly, the mathematical model and the direct torque control scheme of the 4-phase and 8/6 pole HESRM is deduced in detail, and simulation model of DTC is built in the MATLAB simulation software, and the magnetic chain, electric current and torque changes of this motor are analyzed by MATLAB simulation software. It is proved that the modeling method is feasible and the direct torque control method can effectively restrain the torque ripple and reduce the noise, which pave the way for further research and application.Finally, the hardware implementation for direct torque control system of HESRM is designed, which uses TMS320F2812 DSP as the core controller. The design of the structure of the control circuit are introduced in detail, including power converter and its drive circuit, acquisition circuit of stator voltage, acquisition circuit of stator current, etc.According to the hardware circuit and control strategy, the entire system software is designed in the CCS3.3 with a C language programming environment, which includes the capture of rotor position procedure, speed control procedure, direct torque control procedure, and other related procedure.
