Due to the rapid development of information technology, the Internet of Things based on information technology have been widely used in many fields, which makes it possible the logistics information management model based on Internet of Tings technology. And the monitoring and management of urban logistics is an important part of logistics industry information management. Logistics vehicle monitoring system can monitor and dispatch the logistics vehicles effectively. This system can help the logistics distribution center grasps the vehicle condition information in real-time, improve the distribution efficiency, reduce operating costs, and provide users convenient and efficient service.The logistics vehicle management system designed mainly applies the global positioning, wireless communication and geographic information technologies. Logistics vehicle position information is obtained by the GPS module. The acquired position information, the vehicle condition information are sent to the distribution center through a wireless communication network in real-time. Logistics distribution center can display the vehicle location and speed information on the electronic map, and remind the drivers maintain or repair the vehicle based on vehicle condition in time. Also Logistics distribution center can issue the scheduling instructions through a wireless communication network. The system consists of vehicle terminal, communication network and distribution center management software. The vehicle terminal is development by the laboratory team independently. It has function of collection the vehicle location information, digital voice playback and wireless network communication. The wireless communication network of this system adapts SMS and GPRS. The software uses the MapX to load the electronic maps. On the basis the system achieve the function of vehicle icon display, track playback and eagle eye diagram.The dissertation first introduces the research background and significance, then according to the characteristics and management requirements of the logistics industry, determines the functionality required for a logistics vehicle monitoring and management system. At last, through the research and analysis of the communications and information technology involved in the system, completed the design of the communication protocol. Logistics center management software uses the MapX to achieve in VC programming environment. Finally, we test this system. Experimental results show that components of the logistics vehicle monitoring and management is working properly. Under normal circumstances of the communication network, the system basically realizes the intended function. The work lays a foundation for the future of this system's functions to further improve and expand.
