In recent years,with the rapid growth of urban population and the number of cars,the frequent situation of urban traffic jams and accidents is increasing seriously.Vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V)and Vehicle-to-infrastructure(V2I)communication can provide more effective road safety information and more user-friendly services,which would bring significant meaning for the promotion of intelligent transportation coordination and cooperation of people,vehicle and road.A communication system design solution for short range for V2 I and V2 V is proposed in this paper,which can help drivers and vehicles to cope with the dangerous road conditions better,so as to improve the safety of the vehicle driving,and applied in the vehicle performance test field to realize the real-time monitoring and recording of the state of the vehicle performance parameters,such as the speed and acceleration,which is easy to facilitate the analysis of the vehicle handling stability,etc.Firstly,by an overview of domestic and foreign research situation of V2 I and V2 V communications,which combined with the characteristics and advantages of ZigBee technology theory and the feasibility of wireless transmission and networking,an overall design scheme of information interaction between this vehicle and roadside device and the nearby vehicles is proposed.Then the structure and function of each sub-module of the system are designed.The STM32 micro-controller is used as MCU of the vehicle system to complete for the vehicle attitude analogue processing which acquired by the GPS and YJ-901 inertial sensors,and serial communication with ZigBee Wireless network nodes loaded with RFX2401 power amplifier module to realize the vehicle data wireless communication between vehicle system and roadside system,and wireless communication between other nearby vehicles,where the vehicle attitude data is visually displayed through the serial port and saved in the SD card for later data analysis.Finally,the system is tested by a variety of V2 V and V2 I communication test scenarios.Combined with theoretical and practical test data,the influence of transmission distance,vehicle speed and other factors on the communication performance of the system is analyzed.The actual test results show that this vehicle short range communication system can obtain the speed,position,three-direction acceleration,angular velocity and other information of vehicle during driving through the inertial measurement unit.This vehicle system can achieve valid interaction of information with roadside system and nearby vehicles within 200 meters.It shows good performance on data storage as well as data display,which can display and save the vehicle information in real time.
